Bethesda may not have shown Starfield or The Elder Scrolls VI last night in the company E3 press, but gave us a little more DOOM Eternal filming, a new story trailer and a release date.

Like its predecessor, 2016 DOOM reboot, DOOM Eternal seems pretty good. A bloody, bombastic and completely exaggerated shooting festival that is gloriously fast and violent.

This time, you fight the forces of hell on Earth instead of Mars, though apparently you also visit other locations including Heaven and an alien planet. Not many games allow you to fight against angelic forces (Bayonetta comes to mind as one of the few lonely), so I really hope we can destroy some cherubs while we are blasting through the Pearly Gates.

Here's the new trailer for the story:

There is also the new PvP Battlemode asymmetrical, which puts two Demons against a Slayer. Here is the multiplayer trailer:

Finally, here are a few minutes of gameplay that in fact look very similar to 2016 DOOM, which I'm 100% well with. Go to the 2:52:00 mark in the showcase video below for gameplay and delight your ears in this sweet, sweet soundtrack:

DOOM Eternal leaves on November 22, 2019. This is coming (sort of). Hey, at least it's not 2020!

Bethesda has not been the most popular game publisher lately, thanks in large part to some great fumbles with games like Fallout 76 At least the DOOM IP is alive and well.

The other game I'm excited about last night's pressure is Deathloop, of the creators of Disgraced. Read more about this game and check out its new trailer On here.
