Is Meghan Markle copying the fashion style of Queen Elizabeth?

When a member of the British royal family leaves, the whole world stops to see what they will wear. The royal family has established trends for decades and has many rules to make sure they look fair. The only member of the royal family that everyone has become fashionable lately? Meghan Markle.

While Meghan Markle can showcase some of her American acting routes in her wardrobe, many have noticed that she and Queen Elizabeth seem to have some of the style preferences. But is Meghan Markle copying the fashion style of Queen Elizabeth?

Queen Elizabeth and Meghan Markle share some style preferences

Taking a look at the many clothes that Meghan Markle was seen at real events, it is obvious that she is not copying the fashion style of Queen Elizabeth. The two, however, share a range of style preferences that can make it look like that to outsiders.

Both Queen Elizabeth and Meghan Markle prefer solid-colored fabrics and avoid prints. They also prefer a simple silhouette. Overall, Queen Elizabeth prefers her colors to be brighter than Meghan Markle, although the Duchess of Sussex has certainly adopted several vivid color schemes – perhaps as a nod to her grandmother.

Both women understand the power of clothing

Another thing that Meghan Markle and Queen Elizabeth share is an understanding of the power of clothing. In an interview with People, Stephen Jones (Meghan's favorite dressmaker) says, "Almost like the queen, she understands that, in a way, simplicity is the best. There is a restraint and elegance for her, which is wonderful … There is also an understanding about the power of clothing – she is an actress and knows the meaning behind all these clothes. "

Queen Elizabeth is known for choosing her clothes for very specific reasons. For example, the reason she always dresses in such brilliant color schemes when participating in real events is so that she can be chosen from the crowd. Meghan Markle has also made statements with her clothing choices.

Meghan Markle sends messages with her clothes

For Meghan Markle, dressing goes beyond simply throwing something. For her, each piece of clothing she wears sends a message to the people at large. Her favorite message is to show support for causes close to her heart.

For example, Markle's clothing is often owned by companies that use cruelty-free processes, which is an excuse to end cruelty to animals. Meghan Markle also wears totally vegan clothes. At an event, Markle has placed a purse from a company that donates a portion of its profits to help prevent child mortality.

Not all the messages that Meghan Markle seems to send are so important to the world – sometimes they are personal messages. An example is how Markle was seen wearing a T-shirt that said "Husband" shortly before she and Harry announced their engagement. Just before the newly married couple announced they were expecting, Markle was seen wearing a dress called "Blessed".

Your jewelry also sends messages

It is not only the Duchess of Sussex's clothing choices that send messages, but also her accessories. Markle favors sustainable jewelry bands with ethical methods of obtaining jewelry, as everyone knows that the newest king is a strong supporter of the environment. Sometimes she gave a subtle nod to her husband's mother, Princess Diana.

Perhaps the cutest thing Meghan Markle has done with her jewelry is to connect with her fans. She did this proudly using a pasta necklace that was made and presented by a six-year-old fan – and the world still can not stop talking about how sweet it is.
