How to Remove a Credit Card from an iPhone and Apple Pay

Your Apple ID probably has a credit card on file to make it easier to purchase from iTunes and the App Store.

And if you use Apple Pay, you probably have at least one credit card attached as well, so you can shop at retail with your iPhone.

If you need to remove a credit card from one of these services, it will be easy to do so with just a few taps.

How to Remove a Credit Card from the Apple ID of Your iPhone

1 Start the Settings application.

2 Touch "iTunes and App Store."

You can have one or more credit cards connected to your Apple ID.

3 Touch your Apple ID at the top of the page, then tap "View Apple ID."

4 Touch "Manage payments."

5 At the top of the Manage payments page, touch "Edit."

6 Touch the red delete button on the left of the credit card you want to delete, and then tap "Remove" to confirm your choice.

When you remove a credit card from your Apple ID, that card can no longer shop in iTunes or the App Store.

How to Remove an Apple Pay Credit Card from Your iPhone

1 Start the Settings application.

2 Touch "Wallet and Apple Pay."

3 On the Wallet and Apple Pay page, you'll see a list of all credit cards connected to your Apple Pay account. Touch the credit card you want to remove.

You can remove credit cards from your Apple Pay account through the Settings application.

4 Scroll to the bottom of the credit card details page and touch "Remove this card." Confirm that you really want to remove it by tapping "Remove".
