According to the Nhon Trach District Justice Department representative, the unit currently advises the Nhon Trach District People's Committee to address this.
Earlier, Phuong went to a bank branch in Nhon Trach district to register an account, make an ATM card, but could not issue the card because the name was too long.
Therefore, on September 27, Phuong sent a dossier to the Nhon Trach District People's Committee to change his name to Nguyen Thi Kim Phuong, which means removing the words "Hoang Linh" in his name.
On October 3, the Nhon Trach District People's Committee sent a written response to Mrs. Nguyen Thi Kim Hoang Linh Phuong that she could not resolve her request on the grounds that there was no basis for resolution.
Specifically, the Nhon Trach District People's Committee responded: “The right to rename is a civil right of citizens, and individuals may ask the appropriate state agency to recognize the name change by falling into one of the following cases. specified in clause 1, article 28 of the 2015 Civil Code. Through review, the Nhon Trach District People's Committee found that Mrs Phuong's request to change the middle name is unfounded and inconsistent with the provisions of the law, in particular, it does not belong to any of the cases recognized by name change under Clause 1, Article 28 of the 2015 Civil Code ”.
