The other five defendants include: Truong Quy Duong – former director of Hoa Binh General Hospital, who received 30 months in prison; Tran Van Thang – former head of the hospital's materials department was sentenced to 36 months in prison; Hoang Dinh Khieu – former deputy director of Hoa Binh Hospital was sentenced to 36 months in prison; Tran Van Son – Former officer of the materials department was fined 42 months in prison; Anh Tuan – former director of Thien Son Company, spent 30 months in prison on the charge of irresponsibility, causing serious consequences.

Responding to the Lao Dong newspaper after ending the verdict, defendant Hoang Cong Luong said he was shocked by the ruling. Hoang Cong Luong did not think that the Panel would impose the highest level proposed by the Prosecutor's Office. Previously, VKS proposed 36-42 months in prison for Hoang Cong Luong.

"I think the Panel will issue the trial based on the prosecution and impeachment of the representative of the city of Hoa Binh VKSND without considering the evidence to remove the offense of the lawyers as well as other mitigating circumstances," accused Luong said.

According to the male doctor, in the first trial, the defendant was only asked to suspend the sentence by the VKS, but this time, the Panel issued a sentence of 42 months in prison.

"I do not agree with this sentence, I will certainly appeal and follow the case to the end," the 32-year-old told the Lao Dong newspaper, while continuing to plead innocent.

In addition, accused Luong also said that he was not persuasive when the Panel proposed to sue his uncle, Dr. Hoang Cong Tinh – former Deputy Chief of the Department of Active Reanimation at Hoa Binh General Hospital.
