Distance to ground, metro route 2 risk of slow progress Finance – business

The HCM City Rail Projects Management Unit (PMU) has just sent an official dispatch to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee on the release of the project site to build subway line 2 (Ben Thanh – Tham Luong) .

Thus, the release of the project is being discontinued, some districts have paid the proceedings. Due to the People's City Committee did not approve the resettlement plan, so even though the People's Town Committee has organized the capital, the People's District Committee can not shell out and proposed reimbursement. At the same time, the legal basis for the implementation of compensation and land cleansing changes, leading to changes in support of compensation policy for resettlement. Not to mention that the certificate of price evaluation has also expired. Thus, the release of the project is now almost two years behind the original plan.

To solve this problem, the PMU recommends that the HCMC Compensation Assessment Board consider and submit to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee the compensation price; The task force will quickly organize meetings, review and agree with the districts and departments involved to continue the implementation of the necessary procedures for payment of compensation, land reclamation and land delivery.

On the project lending situation, the PMU agreed to extend the lending period to the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the European Investment Bank (EIB). Germany (KfW) on December 13, 2020. At the same time, the State Bank and the Ministry of Finance, in collaboration with the agencies implementing the procedures for the extension of the sponsorship agreements, preside over the coordination.

Line 2 of Ben Thanh – Tham Luong subway has a total investment of 26 trillion dongs, then increased to 48 trillion dong. The route passes through districts 1, 3, 10, 12, Tan Binh and Tan Phu.

It is expected that by 2018, subway line 2 will complete the bid, one year after the technical project, until 2023 to organize the construction and commissioning operation in 2024.
