With the future of supercar maker Bugatti by a thread, a video of the test of his new hypercar appeared online.
The leak occurs a few days after the announcement of a new model appears on the official website and on the company’s profile on Instagram. The only photo of the X-shaped taillights was accompanied by a single comment: What if …?
The mysterious teaser contrasts with rumors about an interruption in the development of the next Bugatti model. And there are voices that suggest that the group Volkswagen will sell the brand to the Croatian company Rimac Automobili.
The new images finally dispelled doubts about the fate of the new hypercar at the Paul Ricard circuit in France.
A racing car with a wild aesthetic
Although the vehicle is featured in the recording, its camouflage cannot hide the wild shape of the coupe. The Bugatti’s horseshoe-shaped grid is preserved, although it is smaller than before and is located on the front edge of the body.
Also impressive is a huge air intake on the roof that probably starts the engine behind the cab. The X-shaped tail lights draw attention to the huge quadruple exhaust pipe, below which a massive diffuser has been installed.
Its name and technical details are not known. However, the Motor1 portal believes that the new hypercar could be equipped with the Eight-liter W16 engine and four turbines another Bugatti racing car, the Chiron Super Sport 300+, with around 1,578 horsepower.
The new car must be officially unveiled on October 28, 2020.
