Venezuela achieved 90% coverage in malaria prevention



Magda Magris, coordinator of the Ministry of Health's Malaria Unit, said the country has achieved 90% coverage in malaria prevention. The information was provided during his participation in the Sovereign Health program, broadcast by the Venezuelan National Radio and conducted by the Minister of Popular Power for Health, Carlos Alvarado.

In this regard, Alvarado announced that, through the National Deworming Plan, the target of 1,770,978 children between 4 and 12 years of age, reached, which means a coverage of 56.5% for the schools served.

He stressed that through the National Vector and Waterborne Disease Prevention Plan, "we visited 9,269 schools that protect more than 1,725,000 children and adolescents."
