The agenda of the Spanish Grand Prix of MotoGP in honor of Pedrosa

After the first three races of the season in Qatar, Argentina and the United States, the MotoGP World Championship comes to Europe with the celebration next weekend of the Spanish Grand Prix at the Jerez Circuit.

The championship arrives in Europe more than ever before, with the first four World Cups separated by only 9 points.

Andrea Dovizioso leads the table with 54 points, followed by Valentino Rossi (51), Alex Rins (49) and Marc Márquez (45), after the Ducati rider won the inaugural Losail race, Márquez did the same in Austin and the young Spanish Suzuki rider won a spectacular victory at the last race held in Austin with a spectacular one-hand Valentino, who has accumulated two seconds to win his first victory since the 2017 Dutch Grand Prix.

With the arrival of the World Cup in Europe, the schedules return to normal, again with the Moto3 training opening the programs, followed by MotoGP and Moto2 closing the day. The exception will be on Sunday, when both the warm-up and the race set the natural order with MotoGP finishing the Sunday program with the race scheduled for two in the afternoon.

On Thursday, as usual, the press conference will be held before the grand prize, which will be Dovizioso, Rossi, Rins, Marquez, Jack Miller and the leader of the Moto3 World Championship, Jaume Masià.

Homage to Dani Pedrosa

The weekend events program includes, on Friday, a tribute to the retired driver last year Dani Pedrosa. The Catalan for 13 years on the Honda MotoGP team left the World Championship in late 2018 before announcing his signing as a test driver for the KTM team.

The Circuito de Jerez will rename route 6 of the route with the name of the pilot, in addition to discovering a sculpture. The homage will be held on the same curve at 6.45 pm on Friday.
