Evelyn Vásquez, Minister of Water, said Monday that after an explosion in several barrels of the Tuy I System, the potable water service in Caracas, Miranda and Vargas was affected.
Vasquez explained that the explosion was caused by an overvoltage that floated and returned "so aggressively to electric power."
"There was an explosion of pipes caused by excessive pumping when the system was reactivated. We received damage to the electrical part of the pumping system and we are there to solve them and be ready," he said.
