The director of the Criminal Forum, Alfredo Romero, said Friday that more than 200 relatives of political prisoners had met with the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Michelle Bachelet, and raised the physical conditions of their relatives, as well as the criminal status of their cases.
"There have been cases where terrible tortures have been shown, I had the opportunity to present the event and give an overview of the situation of more than 15,000 detainees since 2014, of which at least 15% were tortured," said the spokesman. jurist
He stressed that all biographies of what happened in each of the cases exposed were given to Bachelet as well as the situation of civilians who were brought before military tribunals. "She knows every case perfectly," Romero concluded.
