According to a user on Reddit, via Android Police, two years of messages were deleted after the update was installed, and it seems that Google still has no answers.

According Android Police and several users on Reddit, text messages began to disappear from users' inboxes shortly after the security patch was installed. A Redditor reportedly lost more than two years of messages, only with newly created message topics popping up. Upon contacting support, several users were informed that Google was aware of the problem and that they were working on it. It is unlikely that the Messaging application is faulty, considering that the old Pixels and the XL variant are free of the problem.

As reported by 9to5Google, users grabbed social media to complain about borkage, complaining that the problem was triggered when the phone is performing an action while it is being squeezed.

For some, the shutdown will be completely interrupted, with the message "Telephone turned off due to heating", which will be displayed as soon as it is restarted.

Google has not yet commented on the issue.

10/30/18: A strange but also hilarious bug is to equip Pixel 3 XL devices with two notches (below).

As reported by Android Police, several users noticed a bug that randomly adds a notch mounted to the side of the screen of the Pixel 3 XL. Fortunately, according to Reddit users who have experienced failure, the virtual slot disappears after the device restarts.

Google is also aware of the problem, telling Android police that a fix for the problem is "soon".

10/24/18: The Pixel 3 and 3 XL supports only fast wireless charging on Google-approved accessories has been revealed. Android Police reports that only Google Pixel Official Support supports 10W fast wireless charging, while third-party products are stuck at slower 5W charging speeds, even if they are 10W compatible.

He picked up the hole of an angry owner of the Pixel 3 who recently bought a 10W Anker charger that was running at only 5W of speed. Anker confirmed the bad news, saying his tests attributed the reduced capabilities to a Google-imposed restriction.

"Google's official wireless charger can provide 10W for the newly released Pixel 3 and Pixel XL 3, but according to our quality engineer, Pixel sets a limitation for third-party charging accessories and we are afraid it will provide 5W for these 2x devices, "said the accessory manufacturer.

Google has also confirmed this, but said in a statement that it is working with parents to get 10W certified fast shipments for use with Pixel 3.

10/23/18: Just a few days later, it was revealed that Google's Pixel 3 smartphones suffer from a photo exclusion error (below), users are complaining that the 3 XL speakers are producing humming or distorted sound. The issue, which seems confined to Google's biggest flagship, is affecting a large number of users, who suggest that low to mid-range frequencies are especially problematic.

"So I absolutely love my new 3x pixel, but there seems to be a mess in the speakers," wrote a Reddit user. "It looks almost like an electrical distortion, noticed from day one."

Another moaned, "My speaker sounds like shit in low volume, almost like a buzzing in the background and the sound is different depending on how I touch the rear window."

Google has not yet commented, but users are speculating that the problem is hardware related, which means that a surrogate device may be the only solution.

10/22/18: The first users of Google's Pixel 3 and 3 XL are complaining that there is a problem with the Camera app not saving photos. The problem – which also affects Pixel 2 and 2 XL devices, according to a Reddit topic – occurs when a user takes a photo with the Google Camera and switches to another application or locks the device immediately afterwards. Some users speculate that the bug is related to the Android Doze battery-saving feature, as disabling seems to have solved the problem for some people. Google still needs to comment on the bug.

10/18/18: Google has talked about the new Titan M security chip inside its Pixel 3 and 3 XL smartphones. In a post on his blog, the company explains that the chip is derived from the Titan chip used in Google Cloud data centers in an attempt to bring "tamper-proof" hardware security to its latest flagship.

Titan M is integrated into the confirmed boot process, Google explains, which prevents malicious attacks from moving the device to an outdated version of Android that tries to unlock the boot loader. It also protects the lock screen and, only after a successful check, the Titan M allows for decoding. Titan M is also used to protect transactions in third-party applications.

For third-party applications, Titan M applications can now take advantage of the StrongBox KeyStore APIs to generate and store private keys on Titan M.

"The Google Pay team is actively testing these new APIs to protect transactions," said Google, noting that for applications that rely on user interaction, Titan M enables Android 9 Protected Confirmation – making it the first device to do so.

10/17/18: Google Pixel 3 and 3 XL were announced last week and, of course, iFixit was quick to destroy them. The most interesting thing is that the dismantling reveals that Google's flagship car boasts an AMOLED screen manufactured by Samsung, confirming that LG – unsurprisingly – was dismissed as a supplier of displays of the company. Elsewhere, the I solve this The team found the new Google Titan M security chip, the same Visual Core Pixel as the Pixel 2 XL. Overall, the dismounting team slapped the construction of the Pixel 3 – which included "copious quantities of glue," with a score of non-glossy repairs of four out of ten.

9/10/18: Google did not surprise anyone with the launch of Pixel 3 and 3 XL, which are exactly what you expected.

The Android duo Pie boasts 5.5 in 1080×2160 and 6.3in 1440×2960 OLED, respectively, above the 5 and 6 inch screens found in Google's last year's flagships. The Pixel 3 XL also sports a robust X-a-like iPhone for the first time, while Pixel 3 opts for an old-school bezel display.

The notch was introduced to house the dual front cameras of the handsets, which include standard and wide-angle lenses. On the back, however, Google got a single 12.2MP camera, countering the industry's dual-set trend and in some cases triple-lens.

While this may sound rather dull on paper, Google claims that the new feature "Night Sight" – which will be released as a software update later this year – will capture natural shots in the dark without flash, and will be released as part of a software update later this year.

Under the hood, both Qualcomm's Pixel 3 and 3 XL processor, Qualcomm's 10nm Snapdragon 845 processor, paired Google's new Titan M security chip, 4GB of RAM, and a 64GB or 128GB internal storage option GB. The two handsets also support wireless charging for the first time, and Google is launching its own charging cradle – the Pixel Stand – as an optional accessory.

In terms of design, the new Pixels do not look very different from last year's models, and both offer the same IP68 certification of Pixel 2 and 2 XL. However, Google has released a new "Not Pink" model for its new pink headset. This will be offered along with the Just Black & # 39; and Clearly White & # 39;

10/8/18: With just one day away from the launch of Google's Pixel 3 XL, the device was the victim of a last mega-leak. According Engadget editor Richard Lai, the handset is already on sale at a Hong Kong retailer for – and he managed to get his hands on one. The device in question has, as expected, an OLED screen of 6.3in 2,960 x 1,440, a Snapdragon 845 chip paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage and a 3.732mAh battery. In front of the camera, you'll find a 12.2MP rear mounted snapper alongside two 8MP front lenses.

Google will officially announce the device on Tuesday and the event will start at 4pm UK time.

9/28/18: The Pixel 3 XL made yet another premature appearance courtesy of Russian YouTube Rozetked who uploaded a handy video putting the device against the predecessor of the Pixel 2 XL. The clip confirms that the 3 XL has the same footprint as the 2 XL with a "significantly" larger screen. However, the camera projects more into the new model, which means it will rock if you put it on a flat surface.

While the video does not tell us much more, we still do not know Rozetked points out that the 3 XL has a "new impressive vibration system" similar to iDevices, even claiming "may be better" than Apple's tactile feedback system.

9/27/18: The so-called "Pixel Stand", a wireless charging dock that came with the Pixel 3 and 3 XL, came in a leaked image.

mysmartprice-pixel-stand-pixel-3

The image (above), shared by MySmartPrice, appears to be a rendering of the printer, confirming that the USB-C dock has a hidden door, along with a Google logo on the bottom. It also looks like you will charge your Pixel 3 by standing it on the stand, and – once connected – it will turn your smartphone into a smart display.

9/24/18: There may not be much more to be revealed about Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, but that did not stop Evan Blass from posting his own set of detailed and really high-resolution renderings of the dual Android Pie.

The images show the front of the Pixel 3 adorned with a frame and the deep notch of the Pixel 3 XL that seems to house two front cameras. According to separate rumors, the two models will have two 8MP front snappers: one with autofocus and f / 1.8 aperture, and a f / 2.2 wide-angle secondary fixed focus lens.

9/9/18: The Pixel 3 and 3 XL have suffered a large number of leaks in recent months, and now they have been released in official renderings. Dutch Blog Nieuwe Mobile shared the renderers, which shows the Android duo Pie housed in tissue cabinets, similar to those sold by Google next to Pixel 2.

The images do not tell us much of what we still do not know about the 5.4-inch Pixel 3 and the 6.7-inch Pixel 3 XL, as well as confirming the single-lens rear cameras of the handsets and the dual front cameras. The notch of the Pixel XL 3 is also correct and present, unfortunately.

17/9/18: Google has confirmed that Pixel 3 and 3 XL will be available in both black and white color options. Although smartphones already appear to have few surprises in store, Google has launched a promotional site for the duo Pixel 3 – first seen from Droid Life – which features the outline of a phone, along with the words "Coming Soon" and some digital confetti.

Clicking the Google logo on the phone toggles between each color, all but confirming that three models will be available at launch.

03/03/18: Still another Pixel 3 XL was seen in nature – this time in the back of a Lyft.

The cab driver has uploaded unlocked smartphone images to Android Police after an idiotic passenger left the unit at the rear of the vehicle.

"He thought his own Pixel 2 XL had somehow fallen, but he realized it was the 3 XL after seeing the notch and the Google logo on the back," notes the report.

"The unit had several ID badges, which were blocked. Alligator returned the phone to the original owner a few minutes later.

Given the number of leaks that the Pixel 3 XL suffered, these last images do not tell us much about what we do not yet know; there is a sturdy slot, a single lens rear camera and the usual two-tone Google design on the back.

8/30/18: Google will release its Pixel 3 and 3 XL smartphones at an event on October 9.

So say Bloomberg, which in a report detailing Apple's arrival in 2018 notes that Google's Pixel 3 smartphones will debut a month later on October 9th – belittling previous rumors of an October 4 release.

Google is unlikely to have a lot of reserved surprises as a series of leaks – allegedly fueled by the sale of Pixel 3 XL devices on the Russian black market – revealed just about everything there is to know about Android Pie's flagship.

28/8/18: The Google Pixel 3 XL has been exposed in yet another comprehensive hands-on video.

Although the availability of the Pixel 3 XL on the black market means that the device has already been released in all its glory, a new video of high quality unboxing gave us an even closer view of the Android Pie flagship.

Posted by YouTube In DIGI, the video of two and a half minutes (below) shows the Pixel 3 XL from all angles, confirming its rear window, notched display, rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and single-lens rear camera.

The unboxing also confirms what will come in the box: USB-C Pixel headphones, a USB-C headphone jack adapter and a & # 39; Quick Switch Adapter & # 39; USB-C.

8/18/18: The large number of leaks around the Pixel 3 XL can be credited to a Ukrainian black market deal, which is whipping the unpublished Google flagship for $ 2,000.

This is according to 9to5Google, Which has verified that potentially stolen pre-launch devices can be credited for the large number of leaks involving the Google's entry-level Pixel 3 XL.

The seller, who is flagging the devices via Telegram, says the devices were originally intended to be delivered to Google engineers and have told interested buyers that the devices will be shipped globally from London.

A message sent by the seller, viewed by 9to5Google, it reads: "It remains only 3 units Google Pixel 3 XL I respond immediately to the most popular questions: • The price is 2000 $ • Payment is possible via PayPal or Bitcoin, the second is preferable because PayPal has commission of horses for international shipments • Shipping is done from London via DHL or FedEx. In connection with the purchase, please contact [removed] Also remember that there is a lot of Google Pixel 2 XL at a good price. Please!"

8/23/18: We are still two months away from the official revelation of Google's upcoming Pixel phones, but that still has not stopped more details about the Pixel 3 XL coming online.

New, high-quality images of the flagship (below) were posted by the Russian blog Rozetked, which reveals almost everything there is to know about the device. The leak not only confirms the uniform and uniform 2960 × 1440 design of the Pixel 3 XL, but also reveals that the flagship will feature a Snapdragon 845 processor, Google's Android Pie OS and USB-C Pixel Buds packages.

Alleged samples of Pixel 3 XL cameras have also been posted to the Instagram Khoroshev user account, showing the performance of the alleged 12MP rear sensor on the smartphone.

And if that was not enough, Khoroshev also posted a video of the wireless charging of the Pixel 3 XL in action, confirming that it will be the first Google smartphone to support wireless charging.

21/8/18: The Pixel 3 XL was discovered in public and photographed by a MobileSyrup reader.

Spy Shots (below), taken on the public transport system in Canada, confirms that the flagship of Android Pie will sport a deep iPhone similar to X, which apparently will house two front-facing cameras. It is not yet clear if they will be used to provide Face ID style authentication, or simply a simplified portrait mode with bokeh effect.

An image from the back of the device does not tell us much, but it does appear to show a single lens rear camera and a new curved glass back. Google's two-tone design should also remain, despite previous rumors pointing to a uniform color scheme.

8/13/18: A previously published practical video has revealed that Google's Pixel 3 XL will feature a Note 9-besting 6.7in screen.

The four-minute video (below), posted by the Ukrainian blogger iVenyaWay, gives us a glimpse of an active and connected Pixel 3 XL for the first time. And despite previous rumors that the smartphone would have a modest 6.2-inch display, it shows us that the handset will pack a 297×1440 OLED screen with 6.7 inches.

Contrary to note 9, the Pixel 3 XL sports a sturdy slot to house its dual front cameras and a handsome chin under the screen. It will also feature a 12.2MP camera from a single 2015 lens on its rear, while Note 9 packs an updated 12MP dual camera system.

Elsewhere, this comprehensive leak confirms, if it is legitimate, that the Pixel 3 XL will pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, a 3.430mAh battery and a single USB-C port. It will also run the Android 9.0 Pie, of course, and the video displays the new Google navigation gestures.

8/8/18: The inauguration of Google's Pixel 3 line is presumably still months away, but that did not stop pictures of "finished" production hardware from appearing on the Pixel 3 XL online.

The images (below) that come through the Russian technology blogger Канал Лучкова, confirm much of what we already know by showing the Pixel 3s notch, its unique lens back camera and its new uniform color scheme, with Google getting rid of its usual design two tone.

A peek in the Device Settings menu confirms that the Pixel 3 XL runs Android 9, of course, and includes a Qualcomm 8-core processor (presumably the Snapdragon 845) combined with a meager 4 GB RAM and an Adreno GPU. The image also confirms the device's screen resolution of 1440×2960 and the pixel density of 494.

Also included in the leak is an image of what appears to be an included USB-C headset (above), but confirms earlier rumors that Google is preparing a wired version of their Pixel Bud headphones.

08/06/18: The release date of Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL was leaked courtesy of Google.

YouTube Channel This is Tech Today has posted an announcement on Famebit, allegedly made by Google, which seeks out influencers and creators to cover the upcoming release of Pixel 3. The announcement confirms the smartphone's launch date on October 4 – the same date Pixel 2 and the first pixel of the first generation made their debut.

Google's slide comes just a few days after the specs for the Pixel 3 XL appeared on Geekbench, confirming that the smartphone will pack Qualcomm's Snapdragon 845 with a pair of 4GB of RAM. Still, the 2426 smartphone's single-core score and multi-core 8355 score are significantly higher than last year's Pixel 2 XL, which came with scores of 1845 and 6185.

7/30/18: The Google Pixel 3 XL has been shown with its clearest casting so far, confirming its "Clearly White" color variant and iPhone X-style display clipping.

The user of the XDA Developers Forum, dr.guru, claims to have put their hands on a Google Pixel 3 XL, the largest of the top two handsets that Google is due to launch later this year.

Legitimate images, allegedly displaying Pixel 3 XL's "Clearly White" color variant, confirm rumors that the smartphone will feature a notch on the front to accommodate two front speakers. There will also be a chin on the bottom of the phone, supposedly to house the front speaker of the Pixel.

Images from the back of the device confirm that Google will get rid of the two-tone design, but plans to have a single-sided camera facing back, although most modern smartphones have at least two.

And based on the device's Fastboot screen, the Pixel 3 XL will pack 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of onboard storage. According to dr.guru, the alleged Pixel XL 3 is unable to boot anymore because it was "remotely erased by Google."

29/6/18: If you want to be surprised when Google reveals Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL later this year, you might want to look away now.

New renderings of the Android P duo, based on factory CAD files and shared by MySmartPrice on behalf of respectable leaker @OnLeaks, show the Pixel 3 and 3 XL from every angle and reinforce much of what we've seen: glass backs, single lens cameras and the typical two-tone design of Google.

The Pixel 3 XL will have a sturdy chin and an iPhone-style notch, albeit smaller than Apple's flagship cutout. This will be at the top of the MySpartPrice Speculators will have an aspect ratio of 19: 9.

The smaller Google Pixel 3 does not feature a notch, and instead sticks to frames above and below its 5: 5 aspect ratio in 18: 9, although they look noticeably smaller than last year's Pixel 2 frames.

Both devices will have single lens cameras a bit dated in the back, and appear to have two sensors in front (though MySmartPrice notes that the second module may be an ambient light sensor).

In terms of physical dimensions, the Pixel 3 will measure 145.6×68.2×7.9mm, while the Pixel 3 XL will measure 158×76,6×7,9mm. However, both smartphones will have a thickness of 8.6 mm when the impact of the rear camera is accounted for.

The 5K renderers do not give much more than confirming the devices USB-C port and the SIM card tray, but MySmartPrice notes that we can also expect the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor to power both devices.

Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL are set to make their official debut, though not surprising, in October.

8/6/18: O The Google Pixel 3 XL was photographed in the wild, confirming that, er, is not so exciting.

The images (below), which comes from meraz9000, a member of XDA Developers, shows that the big-screen Android P flagship will follow the trend of quality with a robust iPhone-style clipping at the top of its screen. This corroborates a recent report by the Bloomberg (below), which claimed that while the Pixel 3 XL will have a notch, its smaller Pixel 3 will not receive the same treatment.

The XDA user has also confirmed that the Pixel 3 XL will have a glassback, suggesting that it can support wireless charging – although not the OnePlus 6 or Moto Z3 Play.

Elsewhere, things are very common. Expect the Pixel 3 XL, due to arrive in October, to bring a single lens back protective camera, a USB-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

31/5/18: Just days after we had our first glimpse of Google's Pixel 3 and 3 XL, Bloomberg is reporting that the handsets will make their official debut in October.

The report, which obtained its information from familiar people who are familiar with the subject, states that – as expected – the largest Pixel 3 XL will feature an almost end-to-end screen with a notch at the top. This clipping will not be as wide as the iPhone X, but Bloomberg says it will be higher.

Codenamed 'Ling,' 'Sardine,' and 'Triton,' the smartwatches are expected include "at least" 1GB RAM, Bluetooth with apt-X, GPS, and LTE with Voice over LTE (VoLTE) support, which means that the third-gen Apple Watch, the Pixel smartwatches will also be able to carry out calls without being paired to a smartphone.

Health will also be a focus, with the smartwatches set to feature step tracking and a baked-in heart rate monitor.

Unsurprisingly, the trio of smartwatches will be based on Qualcomm's incoming Wear OS chip, which reports claims will arrive as the Snapdragon Wear 3100. This quad-core chip will, according to the report, will keep the same 28nm process as Snapdragon Wear 2100 and will use the older ARM Cortex-A7 architecture and Adreno 304 GPU. µ
