Leonid Meteor Shower 2019: When, How to See the Leonids Meteor Shower

Look to the sky this weekend to catch the peak of Leonid meteor rain.

On the night of November 16-17, 20 meteors per hour will be visible in the night sky, according to AccuWeather. The best time to take a shower is after midnight, with the constellation Leo high up. Meteors will seem to originate from Leo, although you don't have to look in that direction.

The moon will challenge the Leonids, so keep it out of sight for the best chance of seeing the shower. Find a dark area and lie down to have all the night sky in sight. Remember to dress warmly too!
