Celtics vs. Bucks Game 2 score: Giannis, Milwaukee blow Boston to match the second round series in the NBA playoffs

Game 2 between the Boston Celtics and the Milwaukee Bucks certainly was a bit different from the first game.

After dropping a 112-90 decision to the Celtics on Sunday, the Bucks rebounded in style with a very convincing 123-102 win in Game 2 on Tuesday.

Giannis Antetokounmpo led the way to Milwaukee with 29 points and 10 rebounds. As a team, the Bucks pitched 42.6% away beyond the arc and Khris Middleton knocked out seven 3s en route to a 28-point effort. Five different Bucks finished in double digits with Eric Bledsoe, scoring 21 points in 7-of-12 shootings.

The Bucks actually dropped the game in the second half when they participated in a 28-2 race that led to the fourth period. Milwaukee ended up beating Boston 39- 18 in the third quarter to really make the tournament out of reach.

The Celtics saw All-Star guard Kyrie Irving have fought powerfully all night, finishing with only 9 points in 4 of 18 shootings. As a team, Boston also fought on the offensive side, since they only connected 39.5% of the field kicks.

Here is everything you need to know about the first showdown in this series.

Game 2 storylines

Celtics: The Boston was undefeated in the postseason with an impressive win in the first game in Milwaukee. Al Horford and his defensive game plan disrupted the Bucks, holding Giannis Antetokounpo just 7 of 21, while Kyrie Irving led the offensive with 26 points, seven rebounds and 11 assists. It was another sign that the Celtics are finally starting to team up after a difficult regular season. No matter what happens in the second game, they have already had a successful trip to open this series.

Bucks: If a team won the first game of the second-round series between the Bucks and the Celtics, everyone would expect it to be Milwaukee. Instead, the Celtics shocked the Bucks by 22 points, giving them the most disappointing loss of the season. Now the Bucks have been eliminated from cruise control for the first time all season, and need to figure out a way to respond in Game 2. The series is far from over but if they give up on each of the first two games at home, will not be the case. It will be fascinating to see them depart on Tuesday night.

Match preview 2, select

The Bucks season is on the line in this game, and they should go out and play like him. They only lost eight times at home throughout the regular and consecutive season only once. It would be a shock if they dropped two in a row to open this series. A Giannis rebound game makes them win.
