COLDWATER, Miss. – The story of a woman riding an electric shopping cart and drinking wine from a Pringles can at a Walmart has become an inspiration for an artist in Mississippi.
The story became viral earlier this month after the woman was banned from a Wichita Falls Walmart. Police were called after she was supposedly drinking and walking in the cart for hours. She was found at a nearby restaurant and said it was not allowed in the store.
Celeste Powers, the owner of The Cup Artist, started selling Pringles-themed wine soaps on her Etsy page shortly after the Walmart story became viral.
"When the Pringles / Wine article appeared, I could not help laughing. You really can see and experience everything at Walmart, "Powers told Fox 4 News. "I felt bad when Walmart banned it because we all went over there, right?"
Etsy's description for the tumblers states:
"Pringles wine tumbler with lid and straw. Now you can be like the walmart lady banned on the electric scooter.
20 oz. Pre-shrunk, 100% ring spun combed cotton sewing for a custom fit. Bowls come as shown. No further changes can be made to our interpretation of the design. Great for your friends or moms who go through long trips at Walmart and need to drink wine from a can of Pringles. "
Powers said she would be willing to send one to the woman who inspired her creations.
"We'd like to send her if she was not too ashamed of her newfound fame," Powers told Fox 4. "Also, maybe she go just enjoy the coffee on your next shopping adventure. "
