Travelers were horrified when a man allegedly ran to a train platform waving a "huge machete" tonight.
Witnesses said on Twitter that "women shouted" and "the station in a little chaos" after a man "insulted" the platform at Tulse Hill in south London.
Online shared photos show a man stuck to the ground on the platform by a number of police officers after a man was robbed.
One traveler said his train did not stop at the station due to the "dangerous man".

Others online praised the police for their quick response to the incident.
One Twitter user wrote: "Terrifying incident at Tulse Hill station, where several of us had to flee from a man wielding a machete.
"He has now been subjugated by the police – very grateful that they are there quickly and acting bravely."

Another posted, "Only at Tulse Hill station where the guy was wielding a machete – he was subjugated by the police, I do not believe anyone was injured. Thank you very much and well done to the police."
One traveler said, "A total out-of-body experience. Well done to all who held him."
The British Transport Police confirmed that one man was Tasered and was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
There were no reported injuries and the incident was not believed to be related to terror.
A spokesman for the British Transport Police said: "Shortly after 6:30 p.m. today, British Transport Police and Metropolitan Police officers were called to Tulse Hill station after reports of a knife man.
"Police officers were quickly at the scene and detained a man on the station's platforms. During detention, a Taser device was unloaded.

"The man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon, he is being taken into custody. There are no reported injuries.
"Anyone who witnessed what happened is asked to contact the BTP by sending a text to 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 478 of 1/14/2019.
"Currently, this incident is not believed to be related to terror."
Tulse Hill Station, in the Lambeth area, is on a busy train line to central London from parts of Surrey and East and West Sussex.
Services go to the London Bridge from the Southern Rail station, which handles over 2.3 million passengers per year.
