Firefighters have been facing a major fire that emits "intense heat" at Ilkley Moor in West Yorkshire.
The West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service (WYFRS) said fire crews, forest fire officials and equipment throughout the county were highlighted.
Several acres of moorland were on fire when the UK saw the hottest day of the year so far.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service (NYFRS) guard, Martyn Hughes, tweeted images showing the scale and ferocity of the flames.
"The intense heat, the steep slopes and the uneven terrain are causing the fire to spread rapidly as we try to approach the flames," he wrote.
"Despite the frantic efforts of all involved, it looks like the moor will continue to burn during sunset."
The Bradford Council has warned people who live nearby to stay away.
"The people who live near the fire in the Ilkley Heath, please stay indoors and keep the windows closed," he wrote on Twitter. "Everyone can please stay away from the area."
