Calls for change in PTSD-related death law

Family and friends of an ex-soldier who took his own life while suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) say more support is needed.

They are calling for a change in the law that would mean that veteran deaths would be better recorded when related to the time they had spent.

Danny Johnston disappeared in May 2018 and his body was found three days later in a forest near Chichester.

Now veteran Daniel Arnold of Portsmouth, who also owns PTSD, has set up an online support group for other veterans and is calling for a change in the law.

If you have been affected by any of the issues in this movie, you may find support at Line of action of the BBC.

You can see more about Danny's story on BBC Inside Out South at 19:30 GMT, BBC One on Monday 11 February and at BBC iPlayer here.
