The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) said that the introduction of martial law in Ukraine would not prevent the completion of the game of the Europa League Vorskla – Arsenal. The fifth round match of the group stage will be held on Thursday 29 November in Poltava.

"UEFA confirms that the match will be held on Thursday, according to the planned schedule. As in all matches under UEFA auspices, all necessary security measures will be taken," the organization said.

Today, November 26, the president of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko signed a decree on the decision to impose martial law in the country. Recall, on November 25, Russia unexpectedly launched an offensive in Azov, attacking the Ukrainian ships MBAK Berdyansk, RBC Yana Kapu and MBAK Nikopol. We show video, as a ship of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation hit a Ukrainian tugboat. After that, the assailant still opened fire, resulting in injuries to six Ukrainian sailors. There was also the seizure of the ship – more than 20 sailors are held hostage.

We previously told you what will happen to football in Ukraine if martial law is introduced. The FFU and the UPL await the decision of the parliament.
