scientists have created a screen for smartphones near the future

Scientists from leading smartphone makers say they have created a new screen based on mini-LEDs that will be used on smartphones in the near future. The image quality will be as high as pressing the current leader – OLED.

Reports on that today.

Mini LEDs provide incredible performance. Its brightness, contrast, color reproduction and energy savings are far superior to today's LCD monitors and can even compete with AMOLED. The cost of production at the same time remains low.

The latest technology will improve the HDR indicator of the IPS LED array due to the number of LEDs used in the lighting panel. For example, the screen of a conventional 5-inch smartphone uses about 25 LED blocks and a mini-LED backlight can contain from 9,000 to 10,000 modules.

The panels are ready to start production, which means the latest screens will appear on new smartphones in the next 2 to 3 years.

Earlier, the Tesla smartphone enters the network.
