Microsoft's market capitalization has become larger than Apple's. As a result, the Cupertino giant is no longer the most expensive American company, reports Economy Today.
According to analyst's report, Microfost's market capitalization is $ 753.3 billion. A similar figure for Apple is currently around 746.8 billion.
The third on the list of the most expensive American companies ended up being Amazon – US $ 736.8 billion. The online retailer was able to ignore the Alphabet, which is Google's parent company. Its capitalization is 725.5 billion.
Note that Apple has been ahead of Microsoft in market capitalization since 2010. In August of this year, Apple became the first company in the world whose value exceeded $ 1 billion.
Experts attribute the possible fall in the value of the company's shares to a drop in demand for new iPhones. This applies mainly to the Xs and Xr models. Due to weak sales, Apple even decided to resume production of the iPhone X from last year.
