Champion of the USSR died as part of Dynamo Kyiv

On November 25, former Dynamo striker Kyiv and Chernomorets Viktor Kanevsky of Odessa were killed, journalist and writer Devi Arkadyev said on social networks. Kanevsky was 82 years old.

Together in Dynamo, Kanevsky became the champion of the USSR (1961) and the winner of the USSR Cup (1964). He spent five matches for the national team of the USSR. He later directed Metalurh, Metalist Kharkiv, Bukovina, Dnepr and Dynamo (Irpin), and worked as assistant to the Pakhtakor and Tavria coach. Since 1988, he has lived in the United States.
