Zamalek explains to CAF the reasons for refusing to play the African Super Cup in Qatar



Zamalek president Morteza Mansour has insisted that his club will not go to Qatar to play the African Super Cup against Esperance.

Mourtada Mansour said in televised comments that the club will send an official letter to the African Football Confederation to refute the reasons that prevent Zamalek from traveling to Qatar to compete for the African Super Cup.

Zamalek's President: The letter includes many reasons that prevent Zamalek from playing Qatar, especially the political thorn between Egypt and Qatar in the present period.

He added: There are some personalities attacking the Egyptians through Qatar's television channels, and he would not feel safe if the game were held there.

And mathematically asked the president of Zamalek, how is the African supercar in an Asian country?

"We have no objections to holding the match in the UAE or any African country, even Tunisia itself," he said.

Mansour sends a letter to CAF:

Morteza Mansour sent a letter to Fatima Samoura of Senegal, FIFA's secretary general and chairman of the committee responsible for overseeing the CAF, asking them not to raise any further problems with Zamalek following the Senegalese soccer game crisis in Senegal.
