Experts at the National University of Australia have found that fast food, including hamburgers, causes premature aging of the brain.
MedicalXpress reports that experts have analyzed the results of 200 scientific studies, focusing on the relationship between brain health, aging, and environmental factors. They found that poor diet and physical inactivity over a long period of time increases the risk of type 2 diabetes, as well as impaired cognitive functions, leading to dementia and brain atrophy.
Neurodegeneration can start earlier than usual, and this is irreversible if the person reaches middle age, so the recommendations for those 60 years of age are practically useless, according to "Russia Today".
Based on this, doctors advise all young people to switch to healthy food as soon as possible.
According to estimates, about 30% of the world's adult population will be overweight or obese and 10% will suffer from type 2 diabetes by 2030.
