The spark field is ready to pump 80,000 barrels per day

The field is ready to restart the field with a production capacity of 80,000 barrels per day (bpd) as soon as the National Oil Corporation (NOC) force majeure status is suspended as a result of the presence of insurgents in the field of technical operations since December 10, sources told Reuters on Wednesday.

The same sources indicated that the team had informed the National Oil Corporation (NOC) about this and were still waiting for their official response.

During his meeting with the President of the United Arab Emirates Presidential Council on Tuesday, the president of the Mustapha Sinnallah Foundation announced an agreement on special arrangements to raise the status of force majeure in the field.

The spark field produces 315,000 barrels a day (bpd), the largest production field in Libya, and the company aims to reach 2 million bpd by 2020.
