Foxconn's billionaire and founder, also known as Hon Hai Presence Industry, has asked Apple to transfer part of its vast production chain from China to Taiwan.

"I think this is very possible," he said, "I ask Apple to move to Taiwan."

US President Donald Trump's threats to charge about $ 300 billion in tariffs on Chinese products – including cell phones – have raised speculation that Apple will divert part of its production from China.

On the other hand, Foxconn, Apple's largest supplier, has chosen a new president, Young Liu, instead of Terry Joe.

Who resigned to focus on winning the nomination of a party to compete in the presidential elections of Taiwan 2020.
