The Sultanate Embassy hosted the first meeting of the Council of Arab Ambassadors and Ambassadors of the African Group accredited to the United Kingdom. The meeting was attended by the Ambassador of Kuwait in the Arab and International Diplomatic Corps Khaled Al Duwaisan and Amr Aba, the Algerian Ambassador, dean of the AU Heads of Mission.

The meeting was initiated by the Council of Arab Ambassadors, the League of Arab States in Great Britain and the ambassadors of the African Union, accredited in the United Kingdom, to strengthen friendship between Arabs and Africans and to explore prospects for cooperation among two blocks.

Sheikh Abdul Aziz al-Hinai said in a speech that the reception of the Sultanate embassy to this meeting, the first of its kind, reveals the depth of the historical ties between the Sultanate and the African continent and the depth of Arab-African relations in general , because most of the Arab world is located on the African continent. .

He stressed that the establishment of this meeting at the Sultanate Embassy is an appreciation of the depth of Omani-African ties and Arab-African relations, referring to the historical relationships that have linked the Sultanate and Africa throughout history.

In turn, Hossam Zamelat, the Palestinian ambassador to the United Kingdom, praised the Sultanate's support for the Palestinian cause and affirmed strong relations between the peoples of Oman and Palestine.
