– The Information Office of the State Council held a press conference in Beijing on January 14, in which it reviewed the latest developments of the Chang & e 39 mission on moon exploration.

Chang-e-5 launch later this year to bring samples of lunar soil

Wu Yanhua, deputy director of the Chinese space agency and deputy commander of the Moon exploration project, said that with the completion of the Zhang-E4 mission, the fourth phase of the China Lunar Exploration Project and the Deep Space Exploration Project were launched. The return mission will be held to collect samples of lunar soil through the Chang-e-5 spacecraft later this year. China will also begin its mission to explore Mars by 2020.

Since 2004, China has launched five space missions to explore the Moon, all of which have been successful: Chang E1, 2 and 3, the input and return test and Chang E4. The Chinese moon exploration project is expected to target rotation and landing and return before 2020.

Welcome to social and international capital

Wu Yanhua believes that the implementation of the lunar exploration project in China had a major impact on commercial space flights. The Lunar Exploration Project contains many cutting-edge technologies that benefit the community and have great conversion value.

"The Chinese government should consider this issue in the next phase, by receiving social and international capital to participate in supporting the financing of these tasks," said Wu Yanhua.

Cooperation with other countries in the exploitation of the moon

Li Guoping, secretary-general and spokesman for the Chinese space agency, said China attaches great importance to cooperation and international space exchange and hopes to provide opportunities for lunar exploration to its international counterparts.

In April 2015, China's space agency collected nearly 20 applications for space launches from more than 10 countries. On the other hand, the China-built giant Argentine space station is involved in surveillance missions, China is also cooperating with Russia in the development of the isotopic heat source, which helps to probe Chang-e-4 to cross the moon's dark at peace, at the same time, China is cooperating with the European Space Agency. China also used the US lunar orbiting satellite to monitor the Chang & e 39; mission.

Cooperation between China and the rest of the world depends not only on the exploitation of the moon but also on the building of space stations. Where China cooperates in this field with Russia, Germany, France and several other countries. In this regard, Li Guoping said that the Chinese space station is expected to be built in 2022. He hoped to promote international cooperation and exchanges in the development of equipment, space applications, astronaut training, space medicine and other fields. He also urged all countries to participate in the use of the Chinese space station to conduct relevant experiments inside and outside the compartments.
