Some of Retina's 15-inch "MacBook Pro" laptops, produced between September 2015 and February 2017, were collected "because of the risk of fire from overheating their batteries," according to the company's product support page.
The company has added a lookup panel below the message on the support page where owners of the model computers in question can check by entering their serial numbers to see if their devices are on recall.
Those with retrieved devices need to contact their company's licensed vendors, service providers, or direct service technicians to replace the batteries in their computers.
