Rescue mission: winter sportsman fires avalanche in Hoch-Ybrig


On Tuesday, around noon, an avalanche crashed on the Spirstock at Hoch-Ybrig SZ. It was triggered by a skier off the marked slopes, as the cantonal police of Schwyz writes.

No one was injured. The Einsiedeln and Muotathal rescue columns, with 30 people and six search dogs, were used to search for any victims. In addition to the Cantonese police, the Schwyz helicopters from Rega and the cantonal police of Zurich and the Einsiedeln rescue service were in action. The search was interrupted at 3:30 p.m.
