Nokia is still a household name in the mobile phone market, although the brand is part of HMD Global. With the latest model, Nokia is now attacking the lower middle class.

"Long press the button activates the walkie-talkie mode, in which the assistant hears until the button is no longer pressed," says the press release.

The cheap Nokia 4.2 with the Google Assistant button is aimed primarily at people in emerging markets where many people have deficiencies in reading or writing. For example, the Google Assistant can dictate or read messages. HMD brings the budget phone, but also in Europe in the market.

Three years of guaranteed security updates

The 5.7-inch display is housed in an internal metal frame and a polycarbonate frame. The 13 megapixel camera combines images from multiple photos. The processor is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 with eight cores installed. Thanks to "Android One", the device receives monthly security patches for three years and two years of operating system updates, the manufacturer says. Buyers will receive the upcoming update for Android 10 and 11.

You have to slow down. In addition, the very small battery (3000 mAh) can only be charged via outdated and slow microUSB port. The comparatively slow processor and relatively low screen resolution (HD +), however, also save the battery, which should have a corresponding positive effect on battery life.
