The Oskarshamn ice hockey team will play without striker Alex Hutchings in the next two qualifying matches against Timrå. The 28-year-old Canadian has a penalty in the game for Sunday and now the Disciplinary Council has decided to close it.
"I do not really agree. But I did not agree that his back would get three games for his high club as well. That's what it is, Alex Hutchings told the Barometer on Monday.
Hutchings was Oskarshamn's goalscorer and shared leader in the indoor shooting league during the base series, with 39 points in 52 matches. During the qualifying game, a total of two points were scored in eight matches.
Timrå leads the direct qualification for SHL with 2-1 in the games and Hutchings is the first in a potential sixth game.
