Organic Food for Animals – Pages

notebook Environmental commitment is increasing and more and more people want to contribute to increasing sustainability. Despite this, the proportion of organic food purchases decreases. The cause is very expensive. Concerns about how we humans affect our local environment and the whole planet is increasing. Two years in a row, the Swedes reduced their meat consumption.

So it is surprising that fewer people opt to buy organically in the grocery store. In a recent Sifound survey, which Matsmart made, 22% of Swedes replied that they rarely or never buy organic food. In Sörmland, this corresponds to approximately 65,000 people. When Sifo asked the same question last year, only 17% said they normally did not trade ecologically. On the question of why they do not usually trade ecologically, the most common response, both this year and last year, is that it is very expensive.

So that more people can buy organic and environmentally smart products, we have five simple tips:

1. Buy more green. Vegetables are usually cheaper than meat. In addition, emissions are reduced if you buy vegetables instead of meat.

2. Clean the refrigerator and pantry. Often we have more food at home than we know.

3. Freeze the freezer. There is probably forgotten food that can be cooked.

4. Make lunchbox. There are few ways to save money that is more efficient than having a lunch box with you to work.

5. Buy goods with short dates. Food with short dates often reas out, but it is great to eat.

We do not think that price should be an obstacle for poor people to buy environmentally friendly and inspire them to make environmentally smart purchases while saving money.
