Literature moves in new places – Söderköping

Last spring, it became clear that Söderköping's library and bookstore received a donation of 80,000 Swedish crowns from the Swedish Arts Council. The money will go towards reading promotion efforts and resulted in the Söderköping Literature Course. The program for the spring is not over, but begins on January 17, when there will be a presentation of new books at Cafe Habibas.

On February 5, the author will visit the Family Center for Åsa Karsin. She wrote the books on Folke and Lilla Lena, aimed at children from zero to three.

"It's about wanting to inspire reading, and one way to do that is to get out of the library and bookstore and find new arenas," says Johanna Hellstrand, the library's operational manager.
