Bettina Johansson, the Union's Regional Director, asks the next government to talk to the social partners about changing job security through the law.

We are facing a cyclical recession, while automation changes the labor market and puts entirely new demands on the possibilities of conversion. The next government must break the paralysis of action and implement comprehensive reforms to strengthen workers and Swedish competitiveness.

The Union is Sweden's largest union. We organize 650,000 civil servants in the private sector, many of whom are at the forefront of technological development and operate in a global arena.

For us, it is crucial to understand how the outside world affects business conditions and what's on the cards in the future. For the Swedish economy to develop well, it is important to address the problems that hinder economic development and increase the risks of a recession. The Swedish party model is the main guarantor of stability and growth.

Through responsible parties, employers and employees have established for decades the foundation for community development that made Sweden a major knowledge nation. The Union will take on the responsibility of achieving development, but it is also necessary for politicians to play their part.

The Union has identified several actions that the next government should adopt promptly.

• Facilitate entry into the labor market. Unemployment among local workers has, in practice, been the lowest, while foreigners have great difficulties. Fackers and employers have a long history of strengthening Swedish competitiveness through negotiations. Establishment work is an example, which will make it easier for newcomers and the long-term unemployed to enter the labor market under gloomy conditions.

• Ensure the provision of skills. Almost half of the country's private employees need more training, which they can not get from their employers, but the obstacles are many. There should be more places for colleges / universities that are adapted to the conditions and needs of professional workers. The university also needs resources to carry out the validation of professional qualifications and the student system must be reformed.

• Make the transition easier. Tour rules are often accused of leading to a rigid labor market, where competition does not matter. It's a myth. Through collective bargaining agreements, companies have good opportunities to maintain the skills they need when they are withdrawn. However, it is based on the fact that the rules of turmoil are there as the basis for negotiation.

Changing the rules of legislation through legislation would drastically change the rules of the Swedish labor market and risk reversing much of what made the job successful. Instead, the next government should sit down and discuss how we can better cooperate to equip work for the future.

It is in the good times that we should plan for the worst and talk a lot, because there is nothing better than that. And the next government's intention is to strengthen Sweden for tomorrow's job market.
