At 10:30 a loud bang was heard in large parts of Malmö. Readers who heard the newspaper told us that the sound was heard from Limhamn to Arlöv.
According to police, there was some kind of explosion on a property in Norra Grängesbergsgatan. Several windows were broken. Police were blocked by a larger area along Uddeholmsgatan, Västanforsgatan, Norra Grängesbergsgatan towards Amiralsgatan and Kopparbergsgatan.
No one was on the property when the blast occurred and no one was found injured. Police bomb technicians are on their way to the scene.
"There will be standard investigative measures and a technical investigation," says Erik Liljenström, Malmö's internal police officer.
The explosion is the other in Malmö in a short period of time: Shortly after midnight on Saturday, some kind of explosion exploded at a transit school in Persborgstorget. No one was injured at that time and, according to police, there was no known threat image for the traffic school.
Do you see any connection between this event and the explosion in the Persborgstorget?
"I can not comment on that," says Erik Liljenström.
Police investigate the incident as a common destructive destruction.
