Actor John Cusack criticized for his first role in a drama series. Cusack will play one of the roles in "Utopia," which is a remake of a 2013 British series of the same name, writes The Hollywood Reporter.

An American version of "Utopia" has been going on for several years. For a while, "Gone Girl" – and the director of "The Social Network" David Fincher sat in the driver's seat when production was on HBO. But after a discussion about the series budget, nothing has changed – until Amazon picks up the series.

Previously, Gillian Flynn, author of Gone Girl, was contracted to write the script of the American version, and also she is the showrunner of the program.

The series is about a group of people who meet on the internet and are forced to work together to reveal a conspiracy that goes up to the top tier of power.
