AMD Launches New Monster Processors in Threadripper Series



AMD unveiled on Thursday its two new Threadripper 3 series processors with 24 and 32 cores respectively.

The 24-core Threadripper 3960X is built on a 7 nm process with 140 MB cache and has a base clock of 3.8 GHz that can increase to 4.5 GHz. The price is set at $ 1399, which is about from SEK 14,000

Both processors use the new TRX40 platform, which according to AMD allows up to 72 PCIe paths.
