The committee reviewed about 60 motions on, among other things, several issues of vaccination, and in the report submitted to the Riksdag, the committee notes that the Public Health Authority still considers the vaccine to meet the criteria for inclusion in the general vaccination program for that boys are also vaccinated against human papillomavirus, hpv. The findings were submitted to the government in early April. The issue did not cause any major discussion in the committee and in the report members write that they assume that "the Government is preparing Public Health Authority documentation promptly".
"It is so extremely important that this happens. This pressured the government to implement, says the chairman of the social committee, Acko Ankarberg Johansson (KD).
The Public Health Authority's message is on the government's desk and Social Minister Lena Hallengren (S) says in a comment that the introduction is a budget issue and that the government has no message to give now.
– I understand it's about the cost, but now the regions have started to move on the issue and I think that's not good. It would be better with a national decision. This was drawn on a long bench, says Acko Ankarberg Johansson.
The Riksdag will decide on the issue on Thursday, May 2.
