The Consumer Association of Slovenia will file a complaint to the Information Commissioner regarding Google's breach of the General Regulation on the Protection of Personal Data.
The appeal lodged by the Slovenian Consumers' Association of the Information Commissioner will be followed by six similar complaints which have already been lodged by other members of the European Consumer Organization (BEUC) with their national supervisory authorities.
We have addressed to the Information Commissioner's Office the question of what action options the Information Commissioner has in dealing with the alleged violation of the General Regulation on the Protection of Personal Data (GDPR) and whether these possibilities are different if the alleged violator is a foreign legal entity. We'll post the answers as soon as we receive them.
The search that Google is violating the General Regulation on the Protection of Personal Data (GDPR), tracking the position of its users, was made by the Norwegian consumer organization Forbrukerrådet.

They therefore feel that clicks and repeated routing will lead to the activation of the Location History without knowing the user's confirmation, and even when they have already rejected this option, they also oppose the default activation of the function Web & App Activitywhich, as they say, is not easy to find and turn off.

In addition to the formal complaints mentioned above, the Danish Forbrugerrådet will submit an informal report to the controversial practice, while the German VZBV, according to the Slovenian Consumers Union, is considering bringing a lawsuit against Google. The Transatlantic Consumer Dialogue will alert the US Federal Trade Commission to the controversial practice.
