Three months before the new parade horse was dragged onto Slovenian soil, the GLE debuted in Slovenia for the first time. The business SUV has now become bigger, for the first time it is available with two additional seats in the third row and no terrain with any special off-road package is ignored. Next year, we will find at least 60 customers, who will deduct at least 67 thousand euros.

Currently, Mercedes-Benz's largest SUV is the first to see visitors to Mercedes Fashion Week, which was held
this weekend. It was hard to expect their arrival, especially when we met again a few days ago with a new excellence that sounds like the name X5. The GLE is a brand new launcher, which is not just a simple SUV but an intrepid, self-confident terrain, equipped with the latest intelligence and advanced brains.
Of course our shape was "swallowed" by our Robert Lešnik. With an air resistance coefficient of 0.29 with an external shape, it cuts through the air and establishes new aerodynamic criteria. As usual, Mercedes also offers AMG's visually stunning sports packages. Just as it was the pre-serial sample – it's a combination of elegance and sportiness for the most demanding customers.

First with seven seats
Due to cleverly used design features, it is not at first glance that the new GLE is the true giant. The new one has medosje of 2.995 millimeters in length, 80 millimeters more than before. For this reason, passengers in the second row acquired precious 69mm for the knees and 33mm for the heads. At the rear, 825 liters of space for large luggage are hidden, or 2,055 liters, if the central bed washed electronically.
For the first time, two additional seats in the third row are also available. Access to it is possible through another type of electronic seat. A complete list of optional equipment will be added here, which can be moved forward or backward by 100mm and has adjustable backs up to 18 degrees.
Still, as the importer is told, the passenger should be able to sit at a height of up to 180 centimeters behind.
At first two of us
In Slovenia there will only be two engines in a few months. Cheaper and weaker four-cylinder GLE 300d (190 kW, priced at 67 thousand euros) and stronger and more expensive six-cylinder GLE 450 (270 kW, 86 thousand euros).
All those who do not smell the diesel will receive the latest petrol engine with light hybrid technology. EQ Boost adds 270 kilowatts and 500 newton meters at 16 kilowatts and 250 nm of torque – for a short time the driver has a total power of 286 kilowatts. The transmission is transmitted to all four wheels via a nine-speed automatic.
Both engines are equipped with a 9-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive 4Matic. For four-cylinder engines, the torque is fixed between the two axles in the ratio of 50:50, while in the 450 4Matic version the torque can be transferred to an axle.
The new unit brings much more land freedom
For comfort while driving, the optional E-Active body control system is responsible. It operates a 48-volt electric system for operation and, depending on the situation on the road, adjusts the air suspension damper to individual air. If the driver is in an off-road program, this system recognizes this and automatically increases or releases the car. This increases or decreases tire pressure and, consequently, improves grip.
The system also applies to alert the driver or passengers if the car is approaching from the rear when opening the door. Not even the MBUX smart assistant and the Energizing comfort feature, which bring tranquil fragrances and different types of music.
