Google dropped out of tablets | Monitor

Recently, we did a small test of tablets and concluded that Apple's iPad is virtually free of serious competition – and apparently agrees with Google, as they have abandoned plans for their own tablets.

In addition to its own Pixel phones, Google also provided some tablets, the latest Pixel Slate with Chrome OS installed. Before that, we also knew Nexus tablets with Android. Boyd must develop new tablets, but this week has stopped development. The company will focus on laptops with Chrome OS, but of course, they remain loyal to Pixel with Android. There are rumors about the new Pixelbook, which can be released in the fall (it is expected to announce phones Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL).

The existing Pixel Slate should be supported if, by 2024, they say they will continue to work with other tablet manufacturers in all segments.
