Netflix unexpectedly and quietly canceled AirPlay support in the iOS app

You will not see Netflix soon through Apple AirPlay. The streaming service has announced the end of support on their site. The reasons are unknown.

The Netflix app for iOS has been able to use AirPlay since 2013. It is not a feature that will bring essential comfort but pleasure. However, during the first week of April, users began to hear that the feature stopped working.

This is not a single mistake. Netflix has added a line to its website in the support section saying "AirPlay is no longer supported for use with Netflix due to technical limitations."

The technical limitations that are not specified can still have a background in the new AirPlay 2 protocol, which Apple is making available for more and more devices. Or in the new Apple TV + Apple Service, with which he wants to become a great player for streaming services.

Netflix itself on Apple devices remains fully functional. In recent months, Netflix has been promoting yet another, but not as significant, limitation for users with Apple devices. Last December, the streaming service canceled the ability to create a new account through the Netflix iOS application.
