Bratislava, February 27 (TASR) – In times of flu epidemic, it is advisable to avoid areas confined to high concentrations of people. "Influenza diseases should not go to work or school, the disease should lie and treatment according to the doctor's instructions," remember the experts of the Public Health Service (ÚVZ) of the Slovak Republic.
In European countries, including Slovakia, influenza viruses currently dominate the influenza A viruses contained in the influenza vaccine in the 2018/2019 season. "Influenza epidemics caused by the influenza A virus are characterized by a marked increase in the disease, with rapid spread in large areas and usually by rapid decline," said SS chief executive Ján Mikas.

Organic susceptibility to the body can be sustained by increased intake of vitamins A, C, E and most of the B-complex vitamins. These can be obtained by consuming a sufficient amount of fresh vegetables, fruits and whole grains.
The flu season lasts for the northern hemisphere from October to the end of April. Flu epidemics may occur during the flu season. According to geographical distribution, local, regional, national and national epidemics are differentiated. In Slovakia, in the context of prevention, many schools are also proclaiming the so-called flu holidays. Principals may discontinue the education process based on the recommendation of the relevant regional public health authority when the number of absentees due to influenza illness exceeds 20% of the total number of children or students.
The current situation in the region for acute respiratory diseases, including influenza, also refers to RUVZ and health facilities which, in case of high incidence of diseases, prohibit visits to the public.

This can also be caused by school holidays. Neighboring countries such as the Czech Republic, Hungary, Austria, Germany, France, are affecting the influenza epidemic across the country.
