Spurs star Christian Eriksen is apparently approaching Real Madrid after agreeing to LaLiga's personal terms.
The Dane is without a contract at the end of next season and is currently tied with a new contract, with Real reported as one of the top European clubs interested in hiring him. Juventus is also connected.
Pochettino although recently revealed, however, that Eriksen is open to discuss a new agreement, although it is not until the end of the season.
It is speculated that Eriksen's decision to stay in the club or can not be influenced by how the Spurs end the season, with a Champions League still in play despite a defeat in the Ajax semi-final.
Now, a report of the departure of Spanish AS says Real Madrid are closing Eriksen's contract this summer with the player giving the green light for the decision.
They claim that personal terms were agreed upon with the 27-year-old, and all that's left is for the Real to pay the price of 130 million pounds.
Apparently, the Spurs have been searching the market for potential substitutes – and there is a competitor who stands head and shoulders above the rest.
