Unai Emery admits Arsenal would find it difficult to spend £ 75 million on a player – as Liverpool did to hire Virgil van Dijk – but says the Gunners should spend this summer to improve their team.
As was shown in January when Arsenal only managed to lend players the money is relatively tight in North London but things will improve before the 2019-20 season thanks to the club's new trade agreements with Adidas and Emirates .
As it stands, the club is working on a transfer budget of about 45 million pounds, but that will increase if the Emery team continues and secures Champions League football.
