Best actors to replace Ben Affleck in "The Batman" by Matt Reeves
Ben Affleck is officially out as Batman and it's a very sad day.
The words can not describe how sad I am to see Ben Affleck announce that he is no longer Batman. Your Batman is because I do what I do. In Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, I fell in love with his comic interpretation of the pope Cruzado. It was a breath of fresh air and it looked like we finally had the only true Batman.
Three years have passed quickly and we're going to officially receive a new Batman for his next movie. Last night, Ben Affleck announced that he will not return as the Dark Knight in Matt Reeves The Batman and now everyone's attention has moved in the direction of wondering who will be the next Bruce Wayne. It is said that Matt Reeves wants an actor who is about 20 years younger than Affleck, while Warner Bros. wants someone older. My guess is that Reeves wants a fresh start while the studio wants an older actor for the potential crossover.
In this list, I will discuss the actors that I think can replace Ben Affleck as Batman using the parameters that Matt Reeves and Warner Bros. want. To hit Next to see our choices for playing Batman.
Michael Fassbender is a X-Men Alum and is not weird for comic book franchises. The actor showed several levels of range and could definitely deal with the Batman / Bruce Wayne personality. If they go with the older range for the next Dark Knight, then Fassbender is probably one of the better choices to take on the role.
Ben Barnes is unemployed after The Punisher Season 2 and he is one of the best actors in the series. The second season tied the bow of Barnes in The Punisher and the actor has already told us that he would love to play the Caped Crusader. Barnes definitely has the cute boy look going on for him and I wonder what his take on Bruce Wayne could be.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: Ryan Gosling needs to star in a superhero movie. I always thought Gosling would be a great Batman. Every role he did showed us his ability and he could crush him like Bruce Wayne.
Jon Hamm is my best choice for an older Batman. If Warner Bros. wants to climb an older actor for crossover potential, Jon Hamm is the studio's best bet. He looks like Ben Affleck, and look, the guy just shouts Bruce Wayne.
Armie Hammer is 32 years old and was cast as the Caped Crusader in George Miller Justice League: Deadly. This movie will never see the light of day, but that does not mean Hammer does not deserve a second chance to be Batman. He is charming, chic and will probably give his all for that role. The Armie Hammer is a great option because he is young enough that Matt Reeves and Warner Bros. could work in a way that he could cross with the rest of DC Extended Universe.
