Apple acquired Shazam last year and is using the music search application to offer a special offer to users who attend the Grammy awards this evening (as seen by 9to5Mac). They will receive a summary of the in-app awards and will be able to unlock a free four-month trial of Apple Music.
The company is promoting the offer on a card in its App Store: "Home audiences can also Shazam the Grammy Awards at any time during the broadcast to identify songs from the awards and unlock a special offer from Apple Music." show a timeline of the program's music, and anyone using the app to identify a song will receive the extended offer.
This is one month more than the free trial period for new Apple Music subscribers. If you are in doubt about the application, it may be a good opportunity to check it out.
