Although the release is a new version iOS– was unstable at first, Apple points out that half iPhone already updated to iOS 13 during the first month of software release. Features like Apple Arcade and the system's dark mode are appealing to users, despite some of the frustrating issues that come with the update.
In a developer release, Apple posted acceptance rate information for the latest version of iOS, and this was based on a visit to the App Store. The company points out that 50% of all iPhones now use iOS 13, while 41% of devices use iOS 12 and the remaining 9% have older versions of the platform.
When it comes to iPads, the picture is a little different. This is mainly due to the launch of the new iPadOS, which represents a renewed iOS 13. Acceptance of this version of the software is a bit slower, with 33% of iPad devices currently using iPadOS, while 51% of Apple tablets still have iOS 12.
