(Reuters) – Business growth in the Chicago region rose sharply in February, when it slowed sharply last month, the monthly survey of purchasing managers said on Thursday.
Chicago PMI rose to 64.7 in February from 56.7 in January and to 63.8 in December.
Economists and analysts polled by Reuters predict a much less pronounced recovery, 57.0.
This indicator remains well above the 50 mark, reflecting a continuous expansion of activity.
